When we began this project, our goal was to design an amplifier that could satisfy the needs of the world's most discriminating home theaters, and at the same time sound like a true BAT. As some of you know, existing BAT models (VK-200,VK-500 and VK-1000) are already used in some of the finest screening rooms in the world, but space and economies-of-scale can be challenging when using three to five chassis. The VK-6200 changes everything! Here is one unit that can house two, three, four, five, or six discrete 200 watt (at 8 ohms) monoblock amp modules. Output per channel doubles to provide a robust 400 watts into 4 ohms. Each zero feedback module has it's own separate power supply featuring a huge (700VA) toroidal transformer. Think about it, not only can the VK-6200 be the power for reference home theaters, but it can also provide an ideal solution for power bi-amping, tri-amping, or multi-room systems when ultimate quality is the prerequisite. Customers can order a two-channel version with the option of adding channels when the need arises. Amp modules can be installed at the customer's home, allowing ultimate flexibility for future upgrades.

The best part, if one can get over the sheer beauty of the 6200, is the way it sounds! The VK-6200 is pure BAT. "Open", "delicate", "smooth" and "powerful" are words that come easily to mind when trying to describe its sonic characteristics. We can say without hesitation that the VK-6200 is competitive with reference-level two channel amps at up to three times the price!
